Sewing & Quilting Room at Anthem Center

Sun City Anthem Sewing and Quilting Club Rules of the Sewing Room - The Sewing Room is to be locked when not in use.
- The key to the Sewing Room may be obtained in exchange for a SCA
membership card at the Member Services Desk by an SCA Sewing & Quilting Club member who has been trained in the proper use of the machines. A list of current SCAS&QC members authorized to use the machines will be posted in the Sewing Room and updated monthly. - The key holder is responsible for locking the room when they leave.
- If another SCA Sewing & Quilting Club member wants to use the room, the
key holder must exchange the key at the Member Services Desk for the SCA card and the other SCAS&QC member must exchange their SCA card for the key. - The key holder assumes the responsibility for monitoring the room usage
to current SCAS&QC members. - All members using the room must sign in and out in the guest book
provided. - No one shall be able to obtain the key to the sewing room or use the
machines unless they have been trained in their proper use. - The room is considered closed when a scheduled activity is in session. The
machines are to be used by those members enrolled in the class or activity only. All persons using the machines must be trained. - DO NOT change the bottom bobbin tension on any machine.
- Everyone uses their own needles and bobbins when using the machines.
- Bobbins and needles are available for purchase from the club officers.
- After each use of the machine, clean the machine and the bobbin case area.
Pick up the table and floor around your work area and return machine settings to normal. - Each drawer has numbered supplies to match the machine number. Please keep
these supplies in the correct drawers. (DO NOT TAKE THEM HOME.) - Equipment and supplies belong to the club. These shall not be used for
personal use, unless approved by an officer. Some cupboards are locked for safekeeping and require a special key from an officer. - New members need to be trained on the use of the machines and how the
sewing room operates, such as duties and checking out videos, etc. - Dues are $20.00 per year and $10.00 after July 1.
- “Scheduled” room use is to be used solely by members to work on Charity
Projects, Craft Fair Projects, Workshop, Classes and Monitored Work Time. - All monies will be paid to the treasurer by check and made payable to SCA
Sewing and Quilting Club. - VCR tapes may be checked in and out.
- A list of current club members who are authorized on the use of machines
will be posted in the room. A list will be at the Member Services Desk also. The lists will be updated monthly. - In order to keep your name on the current members list, you must keep your
dues paid. - Children under 18 will not be allowed in the sewing room. An 18 year old
must be accompanied by a SCA Resident and member of the club. THANK YOU FOR ADHERING TO THE RULES OF THE SEWING ROOM. back
